Tips for Caring for Your Jewelry
AVOID PERFUMES AND OTHER CHEMICALS
To best protect your jewels and avoid any tarnishing, avoid spraying perfumes and other chemical products (ex. hair products, skin creams, sprays, etc.) directly onto the areas surrounding your jewelry. We recommend applying your perfumes/products first, waiting for the area to dry, then proceeding to wear your favourite GEOLOVERS pieces.
STORE SAFELY
When you aren't wearing your GEOLOVERS pieces, store them in the original cloth bag or in your own jewelry box or plastic bag as preferred. This helps avoid the jewelry from coming into contact with moisture, rough surfaces and chemicals. We also recommend storing each piece separately.
LIMIT CONTACT WITH WATER
Avoiding direct contact with water (ocean, pool, shower, etc.) is the best practice for maintaining your jewelry. This generally goes for all materials, including those deemed waterproof, such as 925 Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-Filled. Lastly, always remember to dry your jewelry off after coming in contact with water.
AVOID CHLORINE / RINSE WITH WATER & DRY
We get it, pool days are the best.
To best protect your jewelry, avoid coming into direct contact with chlorine, as it can potentially change the colour of natural pearls and potentially tarnish your jewels.
If you're a couple mojitos in and have no choice, your best option is rinsing your jewelry with regular filtered water afterward and patting them dry.
